Orientation

From philosophical question to research programme.

The initiative begins from a philosophical question — what it means for a person to live an intellectually free life — and follows that question outward into the conditions that shape it.

The programme therefore investigates the relationship between individual intellectual development, education, social and political institutions, intellectual culture, knowledge production, and collective intellectual development. These relationships are treated as objects of research, not as established causal claims.
